The New Jersey School of Music is extremely proud to offer private music therapy sessions with a Board Certified Music Therapist. Music Therapy sessions are available for individuals of any age with various learning and developmental disabilities, or anyone in the community looking to improve overall well-being. The New Jersey School of Music is an approved service provider for the DDD and Burlington County and Camden CMO/Partners for Kids and Families. Insurance reimbursement assistance is available upon request.
Music therapy is the specialized use of music by a credentialed professional who develops individualized treatment and supportive interventions with people of all ages and ability levels to address their social, communication, emotional, physical, cognitive, sensory and spiritual needs. CBMT is the only organization to certify music therapists to practice music therapy nationally. It has been fully accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) since 1986. Over 4,900 music therapists currently maintain the MT-BC credential, and participate in a program of recertification designed to measure or enhance competence in the profession of music therapy.
